I need to fire a load of photos and a couple of video clips onto a multimedia style of disc for a few mates.  Can any recommend a simple enough piece of software that will allow me to fire over a few tracks and audio, fire over a few subtitles, create a simple enough DVD style menu and keep it all simple enough?

Many thanks

The easiest way is probably Windows Movie Maker.

Does it need to be free or would you be able to obtain it yourself? Power Producer is a decent one, or the other alternatives offered by Cyberlink. That Windows Movie Maker seems to slow and annoying for my liking.

If you've got access to a Mac iDVD is simply incredible - dead easy and very swish results in no time flat. Otherwise, DVDStyler is pretty easy to use but fairly powerful (and free), although you'd need to find something else to convert your photos into a slideshow in mpg format first (then just import it as you would any other film)
