Pick a letter of the alphabet and say that all costumes shoud start with that letter. That way you get a really good cross section of costumes and people can let their imaginations run riot.

i went to a fancy dress party once and the theme was pornos. loads of girl dressed up filthy it was ace, i just went in my normal clothes with a remote control and a toilet roll  |
