Any Whisky experts on here?

I need to find a reasonably priced 21 year old bottle of Whisky, 21 is the key part.

Any suggestions?  Can I get one for round about £30 or is that unlikely?

All the ones Ive seen seem to be up to 18 years then they jump in price!

Whiskey is something i have only been into for a year but my favourites are the smokey tastes of Caol Isla or lagavulin. Im sure you can get 21 year old bottles. Not sure on the price tho.

Dunno about the price bit though.

*pedantry* sangsom is rum *pedantry*

Besides, the hangovers achieved after a sesh on the sangsom are legendary. The last time I had a couple of bottles I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth for days.

I once sent a bottle of sangsom back to an uncle of mine.

He drank it at home, and fell down the stairs so hard that he knocked a radiator of the wall. I'm not allowed to send anymore back now.

I've only just seen this. Would he drink wine? A 1988 vintage Bordeaux should come in around budget.

yeah he likes wine!

I failed on the 21 year old Whisky idea as its impossible.  18 years easy 21 - v expensive (we considering I've already bought other stuff!

Went for a Glenmorangie in the end- mainly because it came in a nice box Cheesy

I wanted Glenfiddich but they had sold out of the one I was after.

Couldn't you have bought a 12 year old Malt and turned the box upside down?

I went on a tour of Glenmorangie, Glenlivet and Glenfiddich distilleries, all in the same day. I was driving. FUCKING BIG BOO!

I do highly recommend Edradour, its produced in small quantities in a tiny distillery in Pitlochrie and doesn't have the 'eek' effect that some other malts do - i.e its very very smooth on the pallet. Difficult to get hold of in shops though, but you can get it online.
