If you want an iPhone but can't be arsed with Apple/paying over the odds for it, try the HTC Hero. Uses Android OS. Just got mine as a free upgrade, paying 10 quid a month less with double the amount of minutes, u/l texts and data. A lot of the apps available for the iPhone are available on Android, and 99% are free.

If you can wait, there are some new flashy Android based phones on their way - HTC Dragon for example.

Weren't suppose to get my upgrade until 1st April but emailed them about paying the contract up early and they let me upgrade 2 months early. Loving the iphone so far, got to sort out some insurance as the first month is free & then £12.99 a month the robbing Bastards!!

Anyone heard about the blackra1n application which supposedly cracks some code to let you download all apps for free?

As I understand it (not much), blackra1n will jailbreak the iphone so it can use apps downloaded from sources other than apple. This would include 'pirated' official apps available from these 'other' sites.

I'm going to say this only once ladies and gentleman, for gods sake whether it be free with your bank or a couple of quid a month, or even house insurance, Make sure you get insurance for your phone that covers WATER DAMAGE.
Phone companies and apple will not touch a phone with any water damage and they can tell by sensors inside the Headphone jack and dock and then 4 are inside the phone.
Even moisture can get in and ruin the backlight and other things
You then have to pay £142 to get a refurbished Iphone.

I love my Iphone but my Nokia N958gb got into a few scrapes with no damage.
Now all you have to do is leave your phone near a bathroom and the moisture can ruin your phone.

It's also worth pointing out that after speaking to an independent store and reading countless forums that o2 Have lied about water damage to make you pay the £142.

At least if you get insurance WITH WATER DAMAGE you will hopefully not be too much out of pocket
