Almost certain about buying one of these (1.4 Active) under the scrappage scheme - driven one and like it, and it's a good finance deal.  Anyone got reasons why I shouldn't?

It's Italian. Expect the electrics to go wrong and bits to fall off of it.

Not bad...  are you buying or hire purchasing?  Have a look at Renault!  If you like speed the Twingo GT is nippy and a bargain at under 10K!  They do 0% finance so if you were considering hire purchase this may be a cheaper option!

I saw a fella the other day, driving with the roof off on his Pug 206 cc blaring out music - Christina Aguilera! Its weird the number of men over here that drive these cars which are blatantly aimed at women!!

I really like them and have thought about one for myself when a new car is required. I used to own a Fiat and really like them. The only trouble is, as others have mentioned, is that it's Italian. When the Italians build cars they kinda forget to make the electrics work for any length of time. Although when mine went it was only about £20 from a mobile car electrics bloke who redid all the earthing.
