Went on sale this morning. I've managed to get 6 tickets for the Manchester Apollo on a Thursday (there are no weekend dates) in November. Planning on getting 2 days off work and making a weekend of it with some mates. I went to see Fame in Portsmouth and it was brilliant. Gervais is possibly my favorite famous person and I can't get enough of his work, so I'm really looking forward to this. Anyone else managed to get tickets? There's only a few dates/venues at the moment but I'm sure there will be more released soon

I saw Fame and thought it was crap. So won't be going to see his new one even though I'm a big fan.

I admit that it wasn't his best stand-up to date, but it did seem a LOT funnier when watching it live

You thought so? I saw it Bournemouth. It just seemed a little too routined for me.

Fame was a little bit of a let down given his previous two tours. I love his series though. Extras and The Office are class.

David Brent is a funny tit, Gervais is an unfunny tit.

I really liked fame, funniest thing he's done since the office. I saw it before politics which was alright but not as good. Not seen animals.

I went to the Fame tour and it was woeful - The support from Will Smith was miles better. I'm a fan of Gervais.
£30? No thank you.

Saw Fame in Cardiff and thought it was alright. Got tickets for the Oxford show of Science on the Wednesday.
Some mates saw Merchant do a gig in Camden last week, to a small crowd of about 100. It only cost a fiver and they said he was brilliant.

They went on sale on Friday at 10am, I tried at 12 and there were none left. Then on Saturday tickets for the extra date on the 14th were released, I managed to get two for the balcony (worst seats) at midday.
It seems they were going like hot cakes, I thought they'd sell out but not that fast.

How can you only like him in The Office, when he plays the same part in everything he does. If you like him in The Office you must like everything he does, and vice versa. A one trick pony who's trick isn't funny or clever any more.
