It's more to exploit the free bet offers which are out there but you can apply the same principles to a bet you've made where the odds have fallen (or where odds have started short and risen).

STFC Manc knows his stuff, sent me some useful pointers. I've only really dabbled and made about 100 quid because I can't be assed but I reckon you can make good money if you stick at it.

As DMR says, it requires patience but once you get a bit of bankroll going it's quite easy to make money.

After using up the obvious free bet offers I cashed out, but I made around a grand.
