Fatboy Howard saves Sheff United's arses to earn a draw with Preston.  Who would have thought he would be sniffing the labrador's chocolate starfish of the Premiership when he got the elbow from Town?

Dongs draw with Scunny 1-1  Angry

Elsewhere North East football is enjoying a boom period. Gateshead were promoted into the Blue Square Conference this evening - replacing them in the Northern Prem will be Newcastle Blue Square and Durham City (who both won promotion).

Good times.

I want Gillingham to come up, cracking away day there last season.

To stay in League 1, not really bothered although it would be good to see Millwall turn over lids.

Preston to the Premier would be nice as well.

I'd like the pikeys up too, for the same reason. Would be chuffed to see PNE go up having sneaked into the playoffs on the last day but can't see them winning it.

As much as I don't like wishing it, I want Leeds out of our division next season.

Too many bigish clubs already, the less there are the better!

Is it right that Franchise took less than 800 fans to Scunthorpe last night?

Smallest away support in the history of the play-offs?
