Retirement lasts a long time. After 7 years I am coming out of cricket retirement. Bitten by the bug again and am as excited about playing as I was as a teenager. Decided to buy myself one of these beasts so that if there is any 'Fatso' sledging they are obviously talking about the bat!

Looks like a monster. I'm hoping to get back into cricket this summer. I've barely bowled a ball in the last 2 years, and haven't played properly for 3 or 4, but hopefully it shouldn't be difficult to get back into the swing of it after a few net sessions etc. Got to wait until my exams are over first though...

Good choice of bat Yes. I got myself the CJI classic some time ago, cracking bats. A little bit on the weighty side though! Enjoy knocking people for 6, as well as knocking them out.

Like a heavy bat myself. My Fatso LE is 3lbs 2oz (but with a much lighter pick up). Got a 2lbs 7oz Ultimate for #1 son and a junior Fatso for #2. Can't afford to go for a beer after the games now!

Had a little practice yesterday - Got the timing of a broken watch! Hopefully it will come back soon.

I still have a game to play this season for the Vets.
I'm the youngest in the back four at 54 - 55 in a couple of weeks.
At 6'3'' I'm also the smallest, but not the thinest, never give up, go another season mate.

I retired from 11 a side too, but about 5 weeks ago.  Playing on the county ground tomorrow as a goodbye 11 a side game, some family and friends are coming and thought it was a nice way to go.  Also best mate playing whos gonna be my best man so should enjoy it

Went to bluebell woods today with dogs and must say sundays seem longer without footy and with the little time I have off its a good thing.

Ive taken to DIY too, so suggest you find an alternative thing to do

Good luck
