I was watching the game live and thought the penalty was a bit harsh and the red card even harsher. Then I saw the replays - it was a blatant penalty and he committed at least 5 separate red card offences (the push with the player through on goal then two kicks and two stamps).
Here's hoping he gets a very lengthy ban, those 30 seconds of madness have to be worth at least a 10 game ban don't they? Possibly with a criminal assault conviction as well.

Yeh, I do wonder why players don't get more angry with opponents who dive. Having said that, he went a little too far! |

Watched the last 5 minutes of that game - Getafe's penalty was woeful, Casillas had time to dive full length, pick himself up and just pluck the ball out of the air. Feeble.

certainly entertaining. i think people should be able to do that if someone dives, although it'd obviously make more sense for that to happen outside the box...
i hope the guy who fell over initially gets reprimanded also, that's a very very gay dive
