To quit the cig's.

On my 6th day now of being cold Turkey and I am tweaking like mad. I am such a stressed out cunt that the wife has stopped talking to me, which is probably for the best. Even my vision seems wrong (can't seem to focus properly).

I need a Fix.

Give me the power to say no, o'mighty TEF.

I shall distract you with things that are more addictive:

You'll be there for hours.

Whenever I want a cigarette but don't have any and can't get hold of any I find that drinking lots of tea helps.

I quit 4 months ago, best thing to do is try and change your routines where possible. It does get easier - after a week it's a little better, after two more so and after a month you'll start having days where it doesn't even cross your mind.

You can do it BR - we believe in you.

That doesn't work well on a wireless trackpad.

That helps alot.

Right now I feel as though I am coming down from a heavy weekend on the narc's, it has even crossed my mind as to whether or not it's worth it.

But yeah, I'll stick it out.

Cheers axs.

Just decide right now that your not going to buy or smoke any more fags and then don't.

Now all you have to do is keep your mind occupied on something else, but the worst that will happen is that you will want a fag, after you're not going to start again as you've previously decided.

Just give up and go get some smokes. Enjoy one with a beer or two.

Yep.

You might have a horrible derpressing feeling of guilt and failure once you've inevitably broken to your desire and lit up, but at least you won't be craving a cigarette any more.

You Sir, are a cunt.

The thing is that such things only re-enforce my determination to quit.

It's when I am actually in a pub with somebody offering me a fag in person that it'll get tough. I've got work tomorrow for the first time in over a week, that'll be a test.

Did Ralphy actually quit in the end? And what has happened to him anyway?

I knew it would re-enforce your determination BR, wouldn't have said it otherwise.

Although if you do quit and one day I get to meet you, it makes it less likely I'll be able to pinch a fag off you.
