Not going to make a big difference, if any as good old Dad's still going to have to cough up £23.00 for himself.  Those that take youngsters would have probably taken them anway.

A pathetic token gesture,under 7's should already be getting in free anyway its not as if youve got the patience at 6 to sit through a whole game anyway.

When your 6 the day is more about sitting with your dad and pretending to be grown up for 15 mins then when nothing much happens asking hundreds of questions like "whats fuck off dad? "   or "whys the ref a wanker dad?" It is of course great fun celebrating goals

Its as is the powers that be have said "what will affect us the least in terms of a child discount"

yeh YR right, when i was 6 and went to watch swindon..... i didn't really know what was going on but i still celebrated when 'the team in red scores'  

 if it got boring me and my mate would just guess the colour of the car that was going to appear from the turnoff going to he county ground, as we could see the magic roundabout from the arkells stand.

i started going when i was 6. i fell asleep during the 2nd half of the 1-0 win over QPR but apart from that i was perfectly capable of paying attention and enjoying it

I also started going just after I was 6, loved it, after my first game didn't miss a home game for the rest of the season then got a season ticket for the next season.

When your 6 you do what your parents tell you its nothing to do with you at all.Don't get me wrong,at least it will help out a few parents save a few quid which can't be a bad thing but at the end of the day its a drop in the ocean and wont "make the season ticket holders of tomorrow"

I think i started going to Yeovil when i was about 6 and my Dad used to leave me sitting in the stands watching the game with a bottle of pop and some crisps while he buggered off and got pissed in the club bar.thats good parenting for you

Anyway, it will work both ways. Hopefully in a positive sense it will increase attendences and hopefully get some of the future generation hooked.

On a negative note, the whole idea behind it is that kids will want to go because its free meaning they will have to drag daddy/grampa/uncle with them, he will then have to pay his £23 and he is only there because he has to take his kids...

I just hope the 7 year olds dont turn up in their numbers in their fucking Arsenal/Chelsea/Manchester United/Liverpool shirts and are only there because its free

I might bring my nephew to a game this season. I was going to pay for him to be a mascot, but for £300 plus. They can piss off!
