Malpas every other week said they were looking for loans and as we know they never materialised.

...they could at least be decent enough to throw about some names Smiley

It never says January, it says this season and only if a good offer comes in.

ANDREW Fitton has warned there may be departures from the County Ground this season after being forced to reassess his bid to make Town a profitable club

Right, that was the basis of Cox likely to go in Jan, because with a transfer window it is the only time for departures this season, and Cox is the only saleable asset ergo Cox to go in January

Of course the article goes on to say a sale will only occur at the right price....we know Uddersfield bid 500K which clearly wasn't enough.

of course Cox could have "gone on loan with a view to a permanent move" to any club at any time during the season in order to get around the legal tape...

i'd be amazed if cox is still ours by next august.it has always been a matter of when he leaves.irrespective of money issues at stfc, his personal ambitions will see him move on.

gary parker was there again last night, he confirmed that he and his colleague were back to scout a town player (for the third match in a row).  He didn't confirm who the player was, or what club he's working for though.

We've only got one player that anybody else would want.

This is true, but Pook hasn't played for ages - Poor Gary Parker will turn up one of these days and get to see his man!

Parker nearly signed for us back in the early 90's, all done and dusted but then he went to QPR on the day he was due to sign the contract (IIRC).

I also heard about his 3 match attendance today.  Odd, not sure Cox could and should step up that far, a good season or 2 in the Championship would work better.

Greer might get a game somewhere. Mind you, I doubt parker was here for him.
