I finished work today and went to the pub to meet some friends. We decided to put two coins in our hands and then hold up a certain amount (nought, one or two) in our hands to see which train we would catch, it was 1 (meaning we would get the first train). We then did the same to see how many stops we would go, it was two - this meant Reading.
So I had a couple of drinks on the way to Reading, and then a few pubs in Reading, including saying hello to mad karaoke chav pub and police sniffer dog.
Then got the train to Pangbourn, found a nice little pub, very lively. Had a 30 year old gin, no idea why.
then got the train to Goring and Streetly, found another pub to play 'I have never' and have a couple more drinks.
Sang a few Swindon songs and met some randoms on the platform for Didcot, went to the pub with them before getting the last train back to Swindon.
I am now quite drunk and covered in biro messages. Not sure why.

Last train kinda dictated when I'd have to be home. I feel quite fragile.

I realised yesterday that the clock in Swindon town centre (the millennium clock) has stopped at the same time as the one in the tower at Reading train station.
It's moments like that when you realise you need to get out more (away from clocks mostly).

Some would say that time stood still in Swindon and Reading years ago.

No problem....it's a shame you weren't hammered and wanted to cry on me, as it would probably have saved me from myself. I ended up down the Pink Rooms...the afterwards isn't fit for public consumption
