And seeing the story makes me feel really sorry for those genuine adults who can't conceive, yet some 12 year old kid gets his nuts away with his girlfriend who forgot to take one pill and she falls pregnant.

the more i think about it and the more i hear about the sad story, the more i am convinced that the boy isn't the father of the baby.i doubt he has a single pube and it's obvious his bollocks haven't dropped.the family i think are trying to cash in, and i reckon the girl got knocked up by an older youth.the whole family of both kids disgust me, and all should have been neutered years ago.

She is a dead ringer for Jay from Eastenders. I thought something was going on with Billy when he moved him in

All concerned are either Scum or Scum in waiting - even the baby. Anyone fancy picking up the tab for them?

Pretty mental story.
It's an interesting subject statistical. Without looking it up, what do you reckon the conception rates for girls aged 13-15 in England is?
A percentage is a fine answer, but I think they're generally measured in per 1000.

i wouldn't like to guess but i heard it reported that britain has the highest teenage pregnancy ratings in europe.
my mrs would have fallen into that catagory as she was 19 when my son was born.the difference was that we were home owners and i worked full time and we recieved only child benefit.my mrs had to give up work and got nothing, her wages were lost to the home income.labour is knocked alot but have given alot more to couples having babies nowadays.scum like to cash in on that fact

When they talk about teenage pregnancies the statistics are generally about under 18's I think arriba.
They might be lower than you expect to be honest. Especially the under 16 ones. It's an odd statistic, because it sounds low, but is sort of high a the same time.
In England in 2006 there were 7.7 conceptions per 1000 girls aged 13-15. Which is a real total of 7,296 of recognised pregnancies. This is pregnancies not births though, 60.3% of them were aborted and it will also include stillborns and miscarriages.
Under 18's are higher. 40.4 per 1000 girls aged 15-17. 39,003 total. But again a high abortion rate of 48.9%.
You say that scum like to cash on the child benefit, but teenage pregnancies have steadily fallen since 1998. Both under 16 and under 18's down, 13% and 13.3% respectively. Plus a higher abortion rate means less babies in real terms. Not just a blip either, it's a fairly steady trend.
To be honest it should be lower. Keep up the giving out of contraception in schools, make it easier for girls to go on the pill, make proper sex education compulsory at a fairly young age, would be Prime Minister Ben's way about it.

the whole thing is wrong
The whole thing is bullshit if you ask me. I'd like to see a DNA test on that kid 'cause I'm with the majority opinion here. Most twelve year olds aren't fertile, and that kid doesn't look like falling into the minority that mature early to me. You'd think that national newspapers first thoughts would be to check the validity of a story, but I guess when there's a sensationalist shitstorm to whip up the facts of the matter are a bit irrelevant.
