There is nothing like a music thread, and I love them.
Over the last three years my love of my life has had major health problems, we spent many hours sitting at home listening to music we loved and the memories that had happened in our life surrounding music.
These occasions might be happy or very sad, but music reaches out to you.
I would like this thread for people to give reasons why a certain record made them stronger, brought you closer together or maybe it is the music you remember of a lost love.

So soppy Dell who start with this old classic, one I have selected on the TEF music threads on other occasions.

This record gave us strength, music can do that you .....

Good call Dell.

Slight change of tone, Pulp - Sorted For E's and Wizz (Glastonbury 1995)

Cracking classic and perfect for Glasto.

Classic Dazzza Cool

This song reminds me of mis-spent summers getting stoned and having a good time.

for muchos comedy 6th form moments, 80 drunk 17 year olds singing to this livens it up a bit, especiallly when it pauses and then says 'yes'.

This song takes me back to a time when I went out to a remote cabin in the woods with some friends. We found a tape player in the cellar and when we played it, it was some professor chap translating from the Book of the Dead. The translations awakened an evil from within the woods and one by one my friends were killed off. Luckily I survived, but I was thrown back through time where I had to do further battle with the deadites in an attempt to make it back to my own time, which was a right pain in the arse.

Can anyone recommend any decent albums recently? I am a bit out of touch at the moment.

Are White Lies and Airbourne Toxic Event any good?

They did an ace rendition of that at their gig at Brixton recently, went on for about 20 minutes with the whole audience singing it.
