There were two cars abandoned on my road this morning and sheets of ice everywhere.

My mrs works in the public services and was on nights - they came to pick her up in a 4 x 4 and that lost control once!

Yes luci they will be operating, last night a certain firm had 21 cars out, although they may ask you to walk to the nearest main road to be picked up,many side streets, close's etc are no go.

Cheers!

Should be ok from Old Town back home then, although Kingshill could prove interesting...

I found it OK stumbling round OT last night....two factors helped, the snow had gone crunchy rather than slippy, and icy stuff reflected the street lights so was easy to avoid.

OT seemed to more or less wholly devoid of birds.....I guess they're not built for dodgy weather.

I nearly pissed myself laughing however when I saw a couple trying to make their way along the top of Vic Hill in full stilettos and mini skirts....the going was difficult.

A man of your age should be cycling on the roads!!
Probably would have been easier as well.

Any road around Calne must be a side road!

I attempted to take my missus eldest to riding at 9-30am and gave up after 1/4 mile...Calne Bypass was an ice rink and still had some arsehole up behind me revving his engine.....it beggars belief.
