How do chaps?

Basically the problems with the site going down looked to because of the forum software.

Rather than persevere with it I have kicked it into touch and gone for what looks to be a much more reliable and feature packed effort recommended by SY.

Unfortunately that means all has been lost from the old forum including usernames so everyone is going to have to re-register.  One bonus is that registration actually works with this version.

Couple of nice extra features on here.  You can send messages to other users via the forum that can be read the next time the recipient logs on.  There is also an instant messenger feature so you can talk to other users online.

Still a bit of tinkering to do but everything should be up and running by Monday morning in time for work. 

In the mean time any suggestions, problems and the like bang a new topic in and I'll get it sorted.

I was one of the first on the old forum, after thisisgate, along with many others. It was with my previous, now deleted username of course!

Although that post, as is clear form the nature of it, was the first after the upgrade to phpbb, because prior to that Dazza had the same script as the old thisis.

 Some of my best work was during the interregnum between TEF 1 and TEF 2.

 Shame it's been lost to posterity.

 Anybody recall the time when fairly early doors the TEF completely crashed and several posters, me included went into cold turkey?

 There was a bit of a panic and a mad scramble to contact Dazzza, problem being no-one knew him 

 Mex even rang Dazzza's dad to to try and find out where he was.....happy pioneering days...his Dad didn't know.
