Did anyone watch the programme on Channel 4 this week, can't remember what it was called, but it was about primary school age children being left to fend for themselves.

Really uncomfortable to watch and the parents should be done (imo) I hope the NSPCC were watching.
I saw it the other way Steve. I thought it showed that unfortunatly our kids lives these days are just run by adults. Parents are so used to not letting kids out of their sights that kids are losing touch how to look after themselves and communicate with others. They are 24/7 being bossed around and tyhe result of that is that they expect the same off other kids. Like one of them said women like men to be able to wash, cook etc yet these kids did not even know how to cook pasta.

Yeah,  wrapping women in cotton wool is just wrong, much better to use more restrictive materials  Wink

I've not read it does that make me a bad parent?

Course not! Good book though. I think there's a couple of film versions (Definitely one) it's about a group of school boys stranded on an island, with no adults.

Isn't it Hollywood Hogan?

His daughter Brooke is worth watching though.

I get what you mean now drs, although i wouldnt let Gianluca cook the pasta he knows you have to boil it, heat beans and put hot water from the kettle into a pot noodle!
