The first three are from the beeb web today:

A cold pelican:

Down with this kind of thing

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/jamiethon/Kim.jpg

Simple an amazing shot:

And a smilie face over Bangkok:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/jamiethon/Bangkok-smiley-face-in-sky02.jpg

I do like good piccies like these and whether we shot them ourselves or not, this could make a good sticky thread me thinks.

As those who know me are well aware, I have a passion for photography and keenly study the work of others. None of my own work is really that good right now (I'm working on it), so I'm posting the work of others. This shot stood out the other week when I saw it.

I wish I could take photos that are fractionally as good as this.

Did anyone see the amazing picture taken of the Millenium Bridge on Tuesday by a amateur and sent into the news desk, it was awesome?

Some of my efforts - not sure if they fit in the 'cool' category though

Them is good, especially the wet dog. A simple subject producing a great photo.

I'm jealous, I really have no eye for taking photos.

I liked the one of the snowballed cat from the snow thread triseros. Made oi larf. Careful, though, if Fred sees it, he'll pour boiling water on it and claim he was trying to defrost it.
