Thank's Leefer efforts appreciated but reg is right it's the the wrong rodbourne,Im not sure how Rodbourne got it's name, as Im now in the ferndale area i was interested to hear how Ferndale got it's name from the welsh navvies.

This is purely speculation on my part, but names with Bourne in them are usually associated with streams...especially chalk streams, which can disappear at certain times of year.  Hence Winterbournes...Ogbourne  etc

Although there is no chalk in that part of the world...there is the Hreod Burna which runs through the old Rodbourne Cheney (pronounced cheeney)...so maybe its named after that.

Since you like strange lace names Reg, have you ever hear of Blubberhouses, they Yorkshire village? If not, and without looking it up care t speculate on the origins of the name?

I had to look it up, it puzzled me because given it's inland location it puzzled me. The name was not given after what one may first think.

Weather warning for tomorrow and overnight into Tuesday!

Yeah we'll either get a lot of rain, or a lot of snow. Or a lot of each.

Either way the roads will be submerged in snow or water Smiley
