Is pretty boring actually. Had flu over NY, has developed into painful ear and sinus infection. On antibiotics 'til 12.1 and signed off work 'til then, haven't been to work since 23.12 Getting pretty bored at home now. Can watch TV but everyone sounds like daleks as I am currently deaf in one ear and have about 20% hearing in the other.

Watch a foreign film where you'd need subtitles anyway. Imagine it might lessen the annoyance of dalek sound.

<swoon> My hero </swoon> Dr signed me off so fuck it, I'm staying at home. It's my ears that are the main problem, I'm not much good at work if I can't hear anyone or hold a conversation as I can't tell how loud I'm not speaking! In my head it's normal but the wife says I am whispering ! Films seem like a good idea. I watched the best bits of soccer am earlier with subtitles, very strange.

I get bored of the office. I've got Magicians on DVD which I am yet to view, so may give that a bash.
Watching tennis at the mo.
Murray won, Nadal won and now The Fed has just started. Doha championship.

Didn't the doctor sign you off from work fatbury?
I remember recovering from an awful cold (or I thought I did). Went in to work on the Monday. By the evening my head was pounding so much I felt like screaming (although that would not have done the head much better).
Luckily the antibiotics got rid of the sinus infection pretty fast. Unfortunately I decided to go out in town towards the end of the course of treatment and paid the price for that.

Oh so that's what it is. I had that start of December - the deafness thing. I just went "Eh?" a lot, then took some Sudafed and it got better. Not sure if that was down to the Sudafed or whether it would have cleared up by itself. Didn't know it was sinusitis, I thought I just turned prematurely OAP for a week - sinusitis does make you wee yourself and complain about that modern dance music as well right?

It'll clear up quite quickly though.
