Things are definitely going to be shit for at least a year. I'm already worried about what's going to happen to me in September, need to start job hunting soon.

Sorry to hear your job news, Fred. If there's any consolation to be had, we're in the 2nd half of the recession now so losing your job now is, arguably, a slightly less painful kick in the knackers than it would have been 6 months ago.

I guess if I wasn't self employed, I too would be out of a job, having managed to do the same amount of business so far this year that I would normally do in 6 weeks.
I have two weeks booked in Tunisia in September, but the Mrs is refusing to go, so looks like I'm going on my own too.

Me and Ms Flash have patched things up since my weeks 'holiday' and i hope things work out.
Job still hanging by a thread though.
You never know rock bottom until you hit it.
The only way is up Fred.........Enjoy your hols....and put it about..

OK i think a challenge should be made. Bus/train/taxi (whatever) to Magaluf and see how long you can stay there without paying for a hotel, ie shagging as many different (or even the same) bird/s as you can. That way no extra cost is involved on moving from the "family" area and you get to be be up to your nuts in guts constantly. Sorry to hear about your job also. |
