Creative have not bothered to update a lot of things for Vista, or have taken away features on Vista drivers for no apparent reason.

Some dude on the internet got into a lot of trouble for re-enabling features on the sound cards which were not available on Vista drivers, but were on XP drivers.

Think in the case of some of the Zen players, you just have to update the firmware directly from Creative and then Vista will recognise it without any drivers. All of the Zens are supposed to work on Vista without any drivers anyhoo.

Register your birds IPOD on your ITunes with her serial number and it should then recognise both when you plug each in

please disregard, i've solved the problem by making the library in itunes a window and the ipod a window. strange how it wouldn't drag any other way (ie down the left hand side)

i got this for xmas on normal dvd. I'm interested to see how the upscaling will work on this.

You're interested! I'm cumming in my pants! I was saying to Mrs spacey the other night "I wonder how the upscaling on a Sony BDP-S550 works." Who needs comical threads about Sheena Easton when we've got this sort of stuff to be concerning ourselves with! As for a film to watch on it, I'd recommend 'How to cut off your head with a cheese grater'.

I've just purchased one of these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Breville-VTT002-Four-slice-toaster/dp/B0010NQ5V4

now I'm thinking what should I have on my toast? Only cost £30 and I carried it home myself. My favourite colour is brown.

I haven't just purchased one, I've had it for ages. I use it all the time and find it amazing. The way it toasts bread and then stops so as not to burn it is like tomorrow's world. It can also do crumpets and muffins with ease. It has this button that allows you to toast from frozen. Apparently this technology was stolen from crashed UFO's. My favourite film is Evil dead 2

My friend has a toaster that does 4 slices, and also has an inbuilt egg poaching device (suitable for 4 eggs).

It's as close as we've got so far to a breakfast robot.

I got given a brand new 4 slicer, so ditched the Kenwood feeling quite pleased. I fucking hate it now though, it doesn't toast evenly in any direction or on any side. You have to toast on the lowest setting and flip it over and rotate, 4 times, to get evenly toasted, er, toast. Otherwise you get one side half brown and the other side lightly toasted. All the slots have their own little tricks. Joy.

back on the ipod subject, it would have appear that I've had a Reggi Blinker....

whilst attempting to increase the speed of me laptop, I decided to delete a few programs...one of which (quicktime player) I didn't know assisted ITunes in its running...so when I've gone to add my spanking new Stereophonics album on this morning to my Itunes (icon still present as I wasn't stupid enough to delete that one :-) ), its telling me that I need quicktime player to run this...if I pop the old Ipod disc in again, is that going to recover all the shit I had on there?

other solutions anyone?? I knew there was a reason I was a member of this forum....
