I kid you not. Was on watchdog. They even bought some CS spray which is illegal to buy in the UK, and people have been sold various fake goods from the site.

marketplace isnt really amazon though, its open like ebay. so past their perhaps slack regulation its down to the individual sellers.

We bought something from a 'third party merchant' through Amazon. Turned up damaged. Company wanted us to pay 30 quid to ship it back. Told them to fuck off (politely) and issue is now with the Small Claims Court. Watchdog might get to hear about it if this action isn't successful.

I've bought stuff on marketplace and it's been fine. I check the feedback like I do on ebay to try and minimise the risk of getting shafted.

Don't amazon protect your payment as part of the agreement anyway? i.e. if it's faulty or doesn't turn up you can claim a refund?
