I'm not sure what purpose the Adver comments section serves, if you look at other mundane news articles you get the same crap as on the football stories. It makes me wonder about this town at times.
Sadly Rob its a nationwide malaise - have a look at the comments section on the BBC or most national newspapers websites and they're no better. Byrne is abolutely right as far as I am concerned. He didn't critisise all posters, in fact he said some were constructive. He's just calling a spade a spade & calling it how he sees it - I would never be critical of anyone for doing that. All he is saying is that some are conducting a campaign of negativity for the sake of it with no or little regard to the facts & he is right.
He may well be wrong to do it in public, in fact he probably is, but to me like many others it indicates he has nothing to lose as he won't nbe our next mgr.

Byrne wants us to do well and that is clear but this sort of shite doesnt help.
All clubs have a minority of fans who bitch and moan....you only have to listen to Arsenal and Man U fans on 606 after games, most of them have never seen a live game ever.
Problem is, we aint doing well so the population of moaners (mostly born of frustration ,me included) grows and grows.
The reality check is that we are one point off the dreaded trap door and like it or not the moaning morons, negative posters and dickheads didnt put us there...fact....
Byrne probably had the right to make a comment but should of picked his words better. He has obvious passion but unfortunatly the results didnt go too well for him (if only games lasted 85 minutes) and it looks like he will be going.
This smacks a bit of Rikki Cxxt in the bad old days having a go at McMoans critics and that ended in tears.

Fitton came out and said a few weeks ago that the new manager must listen to and get the fans on his side this time. If Budgie was hoping to get the job it's not exactly the best start is it.
I do agree with a lot of what he says though, especially when you take into consideration the thisis brigade.
