The original mixes were pretty shite but these are seriously far superior, I need to get hold of them on CD now because I feel too much of a pikey downloading music.

no worries, I saw the video for 'Everybody Knows That You're Insane' last night and was inspired. It's a weird video, some naked bloke waving his cock around throughout...

Listening to QOTSA now My only problem with downloading music is that the sound quality won't be as good, but seeing as I will buy any of the albums I really like or make cd audio copies with my recording deck that doesn't matter. My hi-fi is back in Swindon anyhoo

I put all my music on the computer anyway so I can listen to it easily, a quality VBR with LAME encoder is as good as you'll get, it's impossible to tell the difference unless you've got seriously good equipment, which I don't.

A VBwotsit? I thought LAME meant not very good.
My hi-fi at home is a seperates system (my pride and joy) and I can notice the difference, but I'm very anal retentive with the details

I rip all of my CD's to mp3 format using a program called CDex which uses an encoder known as LAME. I encode at VBR quality, which is Variable BitRate and basically it's the best form of compression for mp3s without too much quality loss and massive file sizes. I've got a Sony mini hifi I've had for years, got my PC hooked upto it though so I can play my mp3s via Winamp and use my speakers for it, ace

I download most of my music these days, bought about 50 cds last year but it's much much cheaper, free in fact so I've downloaded a few 100 albums. I just play it through an amplifier and it sounds pretty sexy.

I'd love to buy albums, but as a student the amount I listen too is un-affourdable. But the music I reccomend too people makes up for it. For example, I wouldn't know about kaiser chiefs or maximo park before they became big if other people recomended them to me. But downloadig hurts no one
