Hockaday has real form as a youth team boss and experience as a number two but.

And what about getting sacked from Watford after protests from the senior players against the hoofball he had them playing.  Hardly seems to be the man to "gel" the team.

It better be Money.

I would get behind Hockaday, would be dissapointed though Mainly for the fact we could have had someone experienced like Holloway in weeks ago and we are taking another risk. Another MM appointment if true really as he has been a good coach etc. Still think its Dickie Dosh.

Hockaday has real form as a youth team boss and experience as a number two but... it is that lack of time as a number one that seems to go against so much of what Fitton has says about experience/motivation etc.

Saints fans seem to have known about it since yesterday..

Aren't Southampton doing as badly as Forest? Only without the excuse of getting promoted last season and so needing time to adjust? Would seem to be a strange choice after five weeks of ceaseless toil, but what do I know?

Southampton have a average age of about 18 and to be fair are punching above their weight

Saints are meant to be playing a team made up of youth teamers - apart from a couple of older ones including the oh so ancient Lee Holmes - and doing relatively well considering - I've been told.

Anyway I think they are playing Forest on Sat.

Well we should wait till after that then and appoint Calderwood or Hockaday on the basis of who wins it. Sky could give it a 48-hour build-up as the "The Big One - it's the Swindon manager-off. Find out LIVE on pay per view who's going to get the biggest job in football."

Jolly good. Sounds exactly what Fitton wants. I, however, wanted Calderwood ;-)

Didn't know about his non-playing achievements.
Fit's with Fitton's aim of bringing through youth.

Think messrs fitton and watkins have made a right fanny of this proccess. I'll get right full 2000% behind richard money, but you can just see the numerous retards amongst our midst hating him because he's not colin calderwood/any of the other 'big names' that have been linked with the job.

Billingham Synthonia - is there a better sounding non-league team out there than this?

I reckon Lars Lagerbeck and Tommy Sonderberg, in charge of Sweden, were the last...before them Jimmy Quinn and Mick Gooding....Steve Gritt and Alan Curbishley. Can't think of more right now, but there must be some.
