further to Mr Flanagan's question:

Do we still hold the premiership goals conceeded record or did Ipswich beat us a few years back?

Do we still hold the record for away wins in our div 2 championship season under mcmoan?

I think we still hold both, but wouldn't bank on it.

I'm pretty sure we still have the illustrious 100 goals against record.  This will stand for a long, long time unfortunately due to there being two fewer teams in the Prem, meaning fewer games. Crying

We still jointly hold most points in a Div 4 season, 102 with Plymuff.

We hold most goals conceded in a Prem season 100.

We jointly hold least defeats in an old third division season, 4 in 95/96.

John Trollope still holds the most league appearances for 1 club... 770

Keith East shares the record of most goals scored in a Div 3 game....5 Juan Ugarte equalled it this season.

We hold the record for biggest win on Football league debut 9-1 v Looton.

We jointly hold the record with QPR of being the only 3rd tier sides to win a major English cup.

We share the record with Lincoln of 32 wins in a div 4 season the most for that level, in 85/86.

We hold the record of playing the most one sided derby in football, Headington/O*frod, having one win in Swindon in 126 years.

  There's probably a few others.....

A team in the current format of the Prem would have to concede 90.5 goals in the season to equal our goals per game conceded {2.38}  Excuse the odd brackets, if I put 8 then regular bracket I get Cool

In order for a team to concede 100 goals they would need to concede, on average, 2.63 per game.

So 91 goals against is a target for Prem clubs to reach in order to restore some pride to our Prem season.

We got 30 points though, Sunderland only got 19 a couple of years back and west brom got 26 the same year, also we scored 47 goals, more than any of this seasons bottom 6 and the same as newcastle this year.  We did alright.  :advercool:

We also scored more than Arsenal that season I seem to remember, and they had Ian Wright!

To put Ben's stats into perspective, Sunderland managed a poor 0.5 points per game, West Brom scraped 0.68, whereas we managed 0.71. :face

We are clearly the best 'worst team' ever. Cool
