Maybe Fitton and the rest of the board fancy a go at this manager malarkey? If they'd played Football Manager, which i know for an absolute fact is harder than real management, they've had their baptism with fire and might be just what we need.

Hasn't AF said that he may also approach people if they don't apply & he thinks they could be good ?

I thought he'd said the opposite, that he wouldn't consider anyone who hadn't applied? He was asked about Holloway, and he said "we'll consider him, if he applies. We aren't going to chase him".
Or something

According to BBC.co.uk Byrne wants the job and he has a train set!!! If he doesnt get it his train set will derail.
Talk about throwing your toys out the pram. No thanks Byrne, not until you are playing with action men anyway!
Curbishly please

That's not what he said. Try reading it again, more slowly this time, maybe

Spot on Village. I took it as a bit of slap-down along the lines of "If he wants to apply for the job properly, instead of flouncing about unannounced in the Town End ...."

What's the big deal about IH turning up in the TE? The bloke lives near Chippenham, Town were at home so being the down to earth bloke he is he came to the CG, had a pint and sat in the TE. Fair play to the bloke.
I hope he does apply, knocks the board's socks off during the interview gets offered the job and tells them to do one, I'd imagine AF wouldn't like to be slapped down in that scenario.
PS - I obviously hope he doesn't tell AF to do one, but I don't get this backhanded dismissal of an applicant. AF should be welcoming as many experienced managers to apply as possible.

According to today's Adver, there's been over 50 applicants! Fitton has 7 interviews lined up for next week. Byrne likely to be in charge until the Walsall game.

There is something strange going on i think....£10,000 is alot of cash to put on if your not sure....but Ward is in a mess with Carlisle isnt he and a court case may be needed....he says he was sacked..Carlisle say he resigned....lets hope its sorted soon.

I hope we appoint Keith Curle, Paul Parker or Carlton Palmer.
Then we'd have the black manager i crave.
Fuck the others!

50 applicants? 45 of which from the TEF, which mean 2 of you lucky fellas (or girls) have an important meeting sometime next week.
