Ooops bit late. I've had Virgin broadband for 4/5 years with no problems. Only had to call customer services when checking the progress of being re-connected after moving house. Also, I think the helpline is now charged at local rate.

i have a chipped box and a chipped modem for the broadband. £150 it was to install and not a penny to virgin and there shit customer service...free sky movies, sports, sentanta and top of all, all the porn channels free.

Apparently all thr free Sky channels they took earlier in the year (Sky Sports News/Sky1 etc) are all coming back to Virgin on Wednesday.
