Just read the groundsmans comments on thisisstfc about what they're doing to the pitch pre-season hopefully it will be better next season. How much do you think our pitch contributed to our season? Personally I think our pitch suited the more physical teams in our league and led to some poor results at home.

the pitch towards the end wasn't holding up too well. one game it was raining so they put the sprinklers on?  :?

won't get a new pitch though as the one this season was new!

Playing Sunday league football you play on some truely horrible pitches, and see as our team is very much a good passing side it is annoying when you dont know what the ball is going to do as it arrives at your feet, however other teams have had to play on our pitch and had no problem out playing us so blah....

Agreed. The amount of times I nearly fell over playing on it was unbelievable! And then I tried running across it without studs on... Oops

It was shit but it's the same for the opposition and generally we still fucked up at home toward the end of the year

Swindon or Calne?

Calne was terrible a few weeks ago. Obviously its had more of a rest since their season finished.

Tomoroow though Calne's in the Les Phillips Cup final at Willand. We're all going down to watch it! Poor us!
