i'm not saying he is the best batch, but he's up there. i'd say he's in the class of those you mentioned
We'll have to disagree Compared to the big spenders of Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, they do punch above their weight.
I realise the affore mentioned stadium black hole probably explains where the money went, D&T state Arsenal produced the 5th biggest revenues in world club football 06-07 and were in the top 10 the previous 2 years! OK their transfer fees paid out may be low compared to some, but don't kid yourself they are an underfunded club working miracles with finances. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deloitte_Football_Money_LeagueStill really am baffled that people can say Wenger is over rated.
That's a surprise, remind me where you work again?

Arsenal's annual wage bill is the equal of Man United's. Those virtual nobodies get paid surprisingly well.
I would argue that taking division 1 relegation fodder, keeping them up, getting them promoted and established in a higher division and then winning a major trophy, is at least the equal of maintaining a top 4 position for one of the country's biggest sides.

I think Monsieur Wenger is on the record saying he'd rather give his current bunch a raise than bring someone else in.

Take your skull cap off Yeovil for fucks sake.
Viera, Fabregas, even Henry.
none of those were nobodys when they were signed Henry cost 10 million for fucks sake. Vierra 3.5 Million from AC Milan in 1996. I get pissed off with hearing about these nobodys ,they are decent young players many with already proven international form at u21 level and such bought for bloody good money. They certainly arent nobodys.

I don't think people were saying that, I think they were pointing out that Wenger was resourceful.

Come on Yeovil, no ones saying he got them out of a Strasbourg youth club!!! Hey you in that parisian fish stall, come and play for me at Arsenal.
Anelka.
When you look at players careers, the ones at Arsenal usually have their best run of form under Wenger. Its the mark of a great coach. Obviously he lets players go, but they never hit the same heights.
Papers rekon Capello wont be picking Bentley again, hes seen enough.
I think Spurs should have appointed Graham Roberts.

Bentley has shit out big time, few months ago he was trying to get ahead of brckham to start, now hes behind Walcott, Beckham, Wright Phillips, even Gerrard would prob play there ahead of him if Joe Cole was fit and on the left

Although a good player - I think Bentley is a smug, so-far-up-his-own-backside twat... But most of the Prem players tend to be.

The Papers know nothing of Cappelos thoughts though do they? They dont even know his team the day before a game, not that id pick Bentley on current form anyway.
