The most interesting coincidence during my psychic research days is as follows. I sat in a development circle with a medium, whose honesty I trust completely. Of course she got to know stuff about me, and was anyway very sceptical about her psychic ability. I had a private reading one day with her, and she asked "them" on the other side to give me something to make me believe in Spirit, as I was a sceptic and scientist. She said they are giving me "Cold Comfort Farm", they know you will research this and will find something very relevant to your life. I had no idea at the time what this meant, but Googled it, and found it was quite a famous novel. I found a copy, and read it. On page 25, there was a paragraph, out of context with the book in general, which described the heroine Flora using an attic as a bedroom, but was used as a meeting-room for the Spiritist Investigator's League on Fridays. The owner hoped that Flora was not a sceptic, for manifestations sometimes occurred in the attic, and even a trace of scepticism in the atmosphere spoiled the conditions, and prevented phenomena, which provided the Society with valuable evidence in favour of Survival. ( I was a sceptic, and so was the medium to an extent, and I sat in the circle on Fridays as it happened.) At this stage, I questioned her and she swore she had never heard of the book, the words just came in to her head. So I thought either she was lying, it was a coincidence, or it did not mean anything really. However,as it happened soon after a filmed version of Cold Comfort Farm appeared on BBC TV, and I watched it. A few months later, I met a lady who became my second wife. Another medium long before had foretold that I would divorce and marry someone from the Church. Some time after our marriage, I told my new wife about the Cold Comfort Farm story, and how that paragraph had intrigued me, then she said, " Oh, I went to school with the producer of that programme, quite a friend, Alison Gilbey, and she sent me publicity stuff about it!" Later again, we happened to bump in to Alison Gilbey in Tescos, she had travelled from London to visit a very sick relative. This is a true story, although Halloween is near!

ha ha ha
what was that crocdile thing that was like her helper?
Apparently it was called Croc. I never really watched the Pink Windmill for obvious reasons. RIP Rod Hull. cruely taken away from us by Man United. See, to me, that brings to mind American Gothic rather than Emu and Grotbags. And so now I am scared.
I can't believe they cancelled that program. superb. Sheeeriffff Buuuuuuck. Must get that on DVD after I have finished with Twin Peaks. erm, anyway, back to the topic in hand... Normy, that just sounds like a big coincidence to me.

I prefer the story where you shagged a succubus.

My ex-wife won't forget it either, waking her up with my humping and not believing it was a Spirit!

How do you know it wasn't just a "dirty" dream then Norm?

Is that why she's your ex-wife? She caught you in bed with a succubus?

Perhaps it was janaage. Many men have nocturnal emissions, especially if they're not getting much, (or any), but usually the result is a bit of movement and wet pyjamas when you wake normally and remember nothing. In this case, it was active enough to wake me up. I then remembered how "she" looked, asked "her" who are you?,and she replied Linda Beaton. So, perhaps my subconscious self made it all up. I did Google the name, and there were many living, but when I looked for deaths on the genealogy sites I only found one Linda Beaton.

It did not help, because she was scared and disapproved of my interest in the paranormal. Apart from the succubus or dirty dream, take your pick, she had some strange things happen to her in that bedroom. One night she saw "lights" which woke her up, as I slept, and she thought there was a fire outside. Nothing when she looked out. She saw a black shape over the bed as well. Another time when I was away, she sensed that someone got in to bed behind her, who sighed, so she said. She told me to stop it all, and take "them" away. ( I have no powers at all).
