Few of the new features look pretty decent, although I'm not so sure about this female manager malarkey!
Roll on November, I can't wait...

The best thing about that clip is the bloke taking the pen in the background at 1.50

I've just seen screenshots of the 3d pitch, will be interesting to see if the match engine can hold up to it or if it will suffer from problems like identical goal syndrome like other manager games with 3d pitches.

Wouldn't it be better if they spent an extra year making a good fm instead of releasing a buggy piece of shit which barely gets fixed by patches before the next one comes out, all buggy again?

Will 2009 be that much better though, I really can't see that a 3D pitch will be that good

The 3d pitch is optional.  You can leave it as 2d if you want or if you're proper old-skool just have the text

Not getting excited about this. Total waste of time.

Only as much as any other lonely recreational activity. It probably keeps your brain active with numbers and stuff, I mean it's basically just playing about with a big football database.

It is addictive, but only in a complicated solitaire way. I do find it funny that people play FM's or the older CM's by looking up the best players to buy, then the best tactics, and then if it's new enough the best training. Surely you might as well just watch a screensaver?

And if you're watching a screensaver may I recommend the angband borg
