Did we lose one to Millwall, or am I dreaming that?

S'obvious then ... matches that will be decided by penalty shoot out should have the thread incorrectly started in Away Days.

Shit ... what happens if we get drawn at home in the next round?

Quote from: Maurice Malpas FBI
The penalties were the easy bit because it was a pathetic to poor performance.

At least it's been acknowledged. Now kindly sort it Smiley Thank you.

I know, just a big fucking donkey

Barry Corr would have scored his penalty no problems.

But we defied the rules too - a local lad scored in sudden death and a normally goal shy centre back got one too!

If Corr came on instead of Paynter, it wouldn't have gone to penalties!

Any reason Casal didn't play? I thought it would be the type of game he would start in.

That Bormuff game was ace...it was about 10:30 0n the Stratton bank clock when Charlie Henry put in the winner and the CG was covered in a white hoar frost....still had winters back then....I was safely in the warmth of the pub, fucking hate extra time and the pubs closedd at 10:30 mid week back then  Angry

I know it's Micky Mouse and that, but winning this shoot out I'm sure will give the players a bit of a lift....MM said that they were taking it seriously...despite apparently being cack, going out would have been damaging.

Good point, didnt think of that.

Why didnt Corr play anyway. We need Paynter out the team ASAP.

Paynters pen was a little relaxed but it was fairly close to the corner so the keeper had to get down well to get it...

not that an exciting performance as mr malpas said, looked a little lost at times...thought for spels we looked good followed by spells of shitness....

right im normally a pretty sensible poster when it come s to reviewing games but im sorry to say this but i hope lee peacock never starts another game for swindon, he was a fucking liability tonight he had two chances on a plate and fucked them both through lack of control. he was 2 yards off the pace and when paynter came on we came alive as we had a fucking target man who could hold on to the ball.

Plus ifil was fucking hopeless, totally lost and for there first goal it was almost like he couldnt be arsed. A really crap team performance against a poor team who made us look ordinary. we were very lucky.

Well that was interesting, got there  at 7.44 to find around 150 town fans still queueing and only one turnstile open, so missed first 10 mins. Also missed the penalty queueing for a coffee! Quick summary, overall it was pretty even, couldn't have complained if they won. Good atmosphere, I reckon 5-600 townies, their fans were pretty loud 2nd half. Cox and Ifil were probably our best two, and Smith made a cracking double save first half. Macca was pretty anonymous, marshall came on again and showed him how to do it. Time to throw him in at the start to see if he can do it for 90. JPM wasn't good, and Peacock was dross, missed 3 good chances by being to slow to shoot. All in all a good £12 spent even if i only saw 70 mins.
