I got this yesterday, I can do alright with the batting and managed a good 271-3 in my first 50 over game which I thought was pretty good, but then the oppo went and got my total in 42 overs.
Is there a knack to the bowling?

short bursts of high aggression bowling from your seamers/quicks, longer spells of defensive bowlers from spinners.
bowl to the conditions. mix up lengths
it's 5pm so i'm going home now bye

I am still playing the 2000 version it probably looks exactly the same as the 2008 version... it's bloody addictive though, am about to start the test series against the windies. my new favourite player is saqlain mushtaq, pietersen is a useful wicket taker on turning pitches, hoggard's probably the best bowler and left handed bowlers bowl right handed in the graphics... few more tips: - make a note of what the batsmen favour; if they like to play on the front foot then bowl short and vice versa - cloudy conditions can turn medium pacers into deadly bowlers - i.e. jon lewis taking a 6fer - bowl very defensive to batsmen who are in whilst focusing on the man at the other end if he's new to the crease. mix it up a bit and give a settled batsman an aggressive spell of pace.

I love this game. I'm crap at it mind, although Owais Shah, it must be said, is immense. He has a Test Match average of about 88 for my England team.
PSP version is the best thing to happen since...well, FM handheld actually.

BLC 2007 is OK. Didn't play it much though. Lot's of achievements for it on the 360. Got 400 gamescore in about a weeks worth of play if that.
