serious question, how can you justify supporting a franchise?

I have followed Wimbledon since 2003 - I admit I didn't particularly follow them before as Celtic was my main team. I moved down from Scotland some years ago and going back is expensive now - especially with a mortgage etc etc.
Anyway - I went to MK with my best mate, who has followed Wimbledon since 1974 and to him he still does.
So I have been going with him since 2003 (football that is) - I feel I am justified as it's local to me and I go to the football with my mate - same as you all do I guess

Wimbledon played in MK in 2003 -
My point was I have been going with my mate - a long standing Wimbledon supporter of over 30 years - however my 1st game was 2003 and I have been hooked since

As I have already said - in his eyes he is still supporting Wimbledon. I know many opinions differ

Including that of the club - who admitted they weren't wimbledon and gave back all history if i'm not mistaken.
