We just had one. I pretended that I hadn't heard it so my Mum thinks she's going mad.

Farnborough air show is/has been  on this week, though most of the planes will already be there so I doubt it's that unless more fly in for the 'public days'.

I think it's a secret terrorist alert. I hope they attack Bath.

You get odd days/weeks where there is loads of activity, nothing unusual.

I would imagine that it is them all gradually leaving the air show from the weekend...they can;t all exatly take of together - I may be wrong though of course

Most of them did just that on Monday making Fairford temporarily busier that Gatwick and Heathrow. People even pay for the honour of watching them arrive on the Friday and depart on the Monday,

Sad bastards

I don't mind when I go on Hols watching the planes land at Gatwick but certainly would not pay or go to Fairford just to see planes

Bit like a trainspotter I would imagine

I have to drive past kidlington airport to work every time i go in, and there is always loads of people stood at the gates with binoculars and notepads.

would be alright if it was busy, but about 5 planes a day fly from there!

I draw the limit at going to an airshow when it's open (not the day before/after). It's a bit sad yes, but not quite the full on thermos geek.

Still it's a harmless hobby for those that do I suppose, unless you go to Greece and get arrested for spying.
