You can sort everything out yourself (avatar wise) in your profile. Whits has retired and old Cillit Bang is sorting the emoticon issue out whilst sleeping with Weetabix and Marmite......

1. please delee your cookies by going tools > internbet options > delete cookies

2. avatars + emoticons will be sorted in time i understand however its more important to get the forum working first.
