My laptop is sluggish and won't perform certain tasks.
I'm getting a message to free up space on my C drive, but I'm worried that due to my all round ignorance of all things technical, I'll fuck it up.
Any tips?

Go to start-->control panel-->add or remove programmes and uninstall any programmes that you don't use.
The go to my computer and right click on c: and go to properties, and then select disk clean up.
You should also try defragmenting your drive by going to c: (Right click)-->properties-->tools-->defragment now.
Do that and you should be sorted.

That'll free up some space  Even me, with my extremely limited knowledge of anything with a plug, know that you're trying to steer me down a very dangerous path Paul. Thanks to all for your suggestions (Apart from Paul)

DO NOT install xp sp3. No end of problems it has caused me! I've installed it and noticed no difference at all! Might be because i slipstreamed it into a Windows volume licence editon and reinstalled from scratch, but hey ho.
