The funny thing is though Magic they didn't even mention Panucci, and on the digital replay thing they use Panucci wasn't even on there.

Surely one of them should have picked it up.   If they had and then disregarded it then fair enough but to ignore it completely is crap and embarrassing.

They've played well the Dutch, the Italians are usually slow to start in these tournaments, it'll be interesting to see if they can progress now!

Not sure the dutch have a keeper who can step into van der sars shoes.

Think that's a bit harsh Magique.  First games are usually a little slow to get going.

I wonder if you can get odds on Italy to knock the Dutch out in the semi's now.

(I believe they can meet before the final)

By a country mile.

I wasn't meaning to be harsh earlier. I just get so excited when these tournaments arrive, and then get so disappointed when I see the standard of play.

Still, onwards and upwards. We'll see what the Spaniards can do soon enough.

I see that the officials are now stating that the goal was, as expected, given due to Christian Panucci being behind the goal.

Dreadful media coverage on this Virgin Radio, BBC (in their main match report and minute by minute coverage), ITV, The Guardian all showing a terrible lack of knowledge on the subject.
