I will be getting my season ticket for the Town End soon..the view is poor you get the odd idiots, but ive watched there since i was a kid.The atmosphere especially for the big matches makes me choose it over say the Arkells ware the view is good but no atmosphere, and the few times ive been there full of people whinging the whole 90 mins. The Town End wasnt great for some matches last year, but its going to be full for most matches next season so ime going to spend another season in it,although you dont get to see alot of football!!

Same as. If you stand on the back row (or the back few rows) the view is actually pretty good though.

i expect the townend to be very quiet next season. If it is then the whole ground will be like a libary tbh. Can't see the other stands being atmospheric at all.

there hasnt been an atmosphere in the Town End since our play off season.
It will be dead next season, Don Rogers stand is the place to be.

I'd just prefer to stand when I watch the game, don't know why, I think it's because staying seated doesn't allow you to be so animated in a game.
If the DRS or the Arkells gets chants going it will be great, but I think it's important to keep the atmosphere behind the goal - it rattles the opposition.
Ultimately it would be great to have more than one stand singing the same chant at the same time. Unfortunately our fans seem more willing to kill a chant off than get a good one going. There were times when even I couldn't be bothered to sing, mainly because I knew it would soon end up with loads of rubbish clapping or singing too quickly.
There have been plenty of games where the TE has been quiet and plenty where it has made a lot of noise, the latter especially when we went up.

I used to always go in the Townend up to a couple of seasons ago.A combination of dumb arse stewarding, shit view, the need to sit down and no Beer at half time saw a defection to Nationwide and Arkells.I can't really be arsed to sing and stuff anymore, polite clapping all the way for me.
