A bit late to be helpful now, but for future reference...
There's a great little pub in a place called Foxham, on the back roads near Lyneham. It's called the Foxham Inn. A relly nice little village and as I say its on the back roads so if you fancy a walk afterwards it is ideal

A relly nice little village and as I say its on the back roads so if you fancy a walk afterwards it is ideal I used to cycle out there years ago....then it was a really basic village local, we had a few others, but these places tend to close down because of lack of people. Another regular was the Dumb Post at Bremhill....it was still there a couple of years ago when I was out that way. Going east, a gem was the Pound at Goosey....marvellous place, I was  to find it had closed when I pedalled out there a while back.
