Anybody else watching this tonight?

Looking forward to it. Got some decent odds (Betfair) on his brother doing the business in his fight and then Hatton finishing off Lazcano in the 4th or 5th round.

If Hatton gets knocked out first round I'll be kicking myself at the 200/1 they were offering!  Cheesy

Going to a mates to watch it.

Glad it is in the UK, the last fight against Mayweather clashed with my work's night out and I fell asleep during the fight as I was so drunk!  Oops

I don't know too much about boxing but this just seems a fake fight to me.  Hatton's homecoming, along with that sky fly on the wall documentary about him, which was pants, the whole thing seems to be a money making exercise for the Hatton family, instead of a "career" making fight.

i think you're right jan, but there isn't a lot else he can do. he's the proven best at this weight and unless he can get a rematch against mayweather there's not much point at staying at a higher weight

I have a feeling we could have a shock tonight, Dont just mean he will lose but Lazcano is a tricky fucker and unlike what hatton has fought before would not be suprised if it went the distance.

On paper i agree totally Arriba hatton should be able to get rid in the first 2-3 rounds and to be fair probably will.

I just got a feeling though that dropping his weight and upping it and just doing so much crap in the media lately may have an effect on him, if it goes past 6 rounds Hatton will be blowing out of his ass.

Just my opinion obviously and hope i am wrong as Hatton is a fighter i like and i would love him to get one last big fight in.

On a seperate note was funny to see Whitter get humiliated the other week .

Anyone see this?

I wouldn't say humiliated, in fact like the calzaghe fight... yes he got knocked down, but tbh (and don't get me wrong, the bloke's a twat) it looked like Whitters fight.

Hatton needs to forget FM, who'd take him to pieces as long as he could be bothered. The 2 fights he needs and I'd love to see would be Paulie Malignaggi or just fucking get it over and done with and fight cotto

Sorry Dave did not mean humiliated in the ring but decision wise , the bloke was 6/1 outsider just meant humiliated that way.I thought whitter deserved to lose tbh just kept hitting from the same angle and could not mix it up.

Oh right, yes definately. It's a bit of shame because he'll never get Hatton now and that would have at least made for an interesting British fight.

i agree lazcano shouldn't be underestimated, he hasnt been stopped for ten years or something stupid, but hatton will have enough... i recon he'll do him, body shot in the 4th.

it's not a fake fight by any stretch, Hatton has been battering 'lesser' opponents for years, he stepped up a weight to fight the best boxer in the world and lost. not really any shame in that.

It's true what he says, no one boxer has ever had such an incredibly loyal following, what better way to repay them than an open air fight in his home city? gutted i'm working till 4ish, so i'll miss it completely, for once i wish it was in the states...

He really has to dispatch this fella though, if he loses then that's his career done im afraid.

Roll on June 10 malignaggi cotto, now that'll be interesting.
