It's my daughters last day at school today (except for exams of course).
This morning about 13/14 of her girlfriends were round my place, all dressed up either as scuba-divers or lifeguards. Then about 10 of the lads arrived dressed in beach gear with surfboards, off they went in their cars, hooters and music blazing for the start of a great day, down the pub at lunch time and parties tonight.
Never did this in my day, or my eldest sons come to think of it, is this the norm now, seems a very American thing to me.
Sound flipping good fun though.

I take it as they're driving this be 6th form?

At new college peoples classes ended at different points, depending on the subject, class, teacher etc. So it was all a bit staggered and less of an event. Still think we found a day to get proper battered before the exams kicked in properly. And there parties throughout the summer.

Sometimes we were allowed to bring in board games on the last day of term - but not hungry hippos as it was too noisy - Or Kerplunk as people used to steal the marbles

Yes upper 6th, all 18-year-olds.

Some of their cars have been egged in the car park by lads from another school who just arrived when they were all inside the school, the compliment has apparently been returned three-fold, oh dear, hope it calms down a bit.

Maybe you could go on a special celebratory bus trip? Go on, treat yourself to a ride to Marlborough
