That probably rules out a night to the dogs as well then, which is a quality night out.

You can’t really go far wrong.  The nightlife is and has always been a bit poor in Chester and at weekends I’d probably knock any ideas of a club on the head as you do get a few idiots making the trip in from some of the surrounding Towns and causing a bit of bother but nothing at all to write home about.

Pubs are quality though and make sure you get off the beaten track a little as there are some quality establishments tucked away in the nooks and crannies of the old Streets.

Quote from: "Reg Smeeton"
Alderley Edge....if you're going, read some Alan Garner first, nominally kids books but really a bit more than that...Wierdstone of Brisingamen,  Red Shift. and The Owl Service.

Garner reckons the footballers ghetto has ruined the area.  Cool

I used to go out with a lass from Alderley Edge although she wasn't all posh - she reckoned she was from "the rough end" of Alderley Edge  Cheesy

Not long got back, was a good couple of days, did the roman walls and all that.

Also got to see some domestic violence which was quite interesting.

Don't all the United players live in Wilmslow? Real plush place.
