Why do you think they are all of there on some sort of Village People stag do/bum fest kind of weekend ? Location? It's not really Brighton or even Bournemouth for that matter. The place has great scenery but seemed completely overun by stag and hen parties (hence my own visit). It's why I quite liked the decked area at Sailors, much quieter feel, but I'm getting old now and like to hear people talking to me. As Gazza mentions, the split between the pub and club at Sailors is quite marked.

I went years ago and they were all super over priced and lash_summin fell asleep in one of the club, which all a bit drunk we found hilariously funny at the time. Can't even claim it was that air that got to me

We went to Newquay a couple of times when we did the lads holiday to Polzeath a few years back we ended up in Barracuda, just like every other Barracuda really, cheapish, massive, full of people and decent tunes.

carters is pretty good, its the red stripe on draught which does it though.
my mates parents bought a run down old bungalow a few seconds round the corner from the doom bar, so we've been staying there lately. they want to demolish it but planning permission was rejected at the first stage, unsurprisingly, as he wanted to build a 3 storey glass thing which isn't really the norm in cornwall. i'm quite happy for it to stay as a manky bungalow where we can go without fear of making a mess or damaging expensive stuff.
have also stayed at robbie loves a few times including one whole summer down there in a tent. I worked at Ann's Cottage (the big surf shop right at the head of the beach) which was a right laugh. wouldn't do it again but at the time it was perfect.

i think they were all booked up when we tried to stay at the oyster catcher, what was it like? expensive? think we paid about 70-80 quid a head, for a week (8 of us) so yeah pretty reasonable. quality apartment, big kitchen, fire escape stairs made for a good balcony although as you'd expect we only really slept there and were out most of the time. the only drawback being walking up that cunting hill when you were smashed!!
