Swindon Town F.C moments.

I'm younger than most on here, but mine are:

1. Promotion last year
2. Invinciables goal
3. Brizzle City away (Henderson double)
4. Sheffield Wednesday comeback
5. Fitton taking over

Leicester play off final

Man Utd at home 2-2

Liverpool away  2-2

Fitton taking over

Best one is winning 6-4 at Birmingham after being 4-1 down

I'm considerable older:

1. Zippy's pen at Wembley
2. The 4th Div Championship under Macari
3. The final whistle at Wembley in the play-offs under Ossie
4. The greatest 0-0 draw of all time against Newcastle in the old Div 2 under Hoddle
5. Turning the radio back on at full time, (after switching off in disgust when we conceded the 4th goal to go 4-1 down 10 minutes into the second half) to discover that we'd stormed the last half hour at St Andrews and won 4-6. Hoddle  having moved into midfield and from the videos watchd since, been absolutely majestic.

League Cup 1969

Beating Leeds under Ossie, 3-2 after being 2-0 down

Birmingham 6-4

Taking my lad to see his first Swindon game - Swindon 3 Ipswich 0 on a Saturday then going again with him for the next home game Swindon 3 Oxford Utd 0, Shearer scores with a bullit off his shin from 25 yards.

Still having a club to support

Leicester play off final - yep

Man Utd at home 2-2 - yep
Liverpool away  2-2 - didn't go so can't count it

Fitton taking over

Best one is winning 6-4 at Birmingham after being 4-1 down - YEP

The div 3 play-offs with Wigan and Gillingham
I HOPE the fifth is the Fitton takeover, if not my first game in 1968 Swindon v Bradford in the League cup. two goals down in 10 minutes and won 4-3 IIRC (and I wasn't very old then)

For the feeling that very moment the ball hit the keeper and took what seemed like forever to go in would have to have Fallon v Brighton in the top 5

Wembley 93
Invincibles goal
Last game at the Manor
Wembley 90

My proudest moment was the '1st not 3rd' march through town in 1990.

5. Aaron Brown's stunner at City when we went down. Yes he's a cunt but at that moment when we went 1 up it was mental and everyone was hammered.

4. Invincibile vs Peterborough, madness

3. Fallon vs Brighton, I've never been in an away end going so beserk since

2. Turbo's double at the Pox

1. Wembley 93 (although I was only 5, in particular I'll always remember the Maskell THWACK off the post when he smashed that lefty screamer in)

01 - Our trips to Wembley.

02 - The STFC career of Shaun Taylor = idol

03 - Beating Bristol City 4-0 at Ashton Gate - one of my first away days.

04 - Rory Fallon's overhead kick.

05 - Going 2-0 up against Blackburn in the Coca-Cola Cup in 95 - Yes, yes we lost but the Stratton Bank went mental. A moment I just loved.

Well...only games I've been to...

1. Leicester at Wembley (obviously), including the night in London drinking with   ondon based Town fans, and some Werder Bremen fans who were celebrating winning the league in London...walking alone to get the tube back to my Gran's feeling ten feet tall.

2.  Tranmere away (the previous game to Wembley) - the victory, Steve Vickers (legend), the nicest pitch invasion ever (tranmere scarves and shirts seen at Wembley), stopping in a hotel on the drive home for a beer and being just in time to see the highlights on TV.

3.  Fitton taking over (hopefully)

4.  Going round to Steve White's house for an interview for the 69er.  Top bloke, really easy to chat to (of course that was also one of the blackest days in STFC history - the death of Kevin Morris).

5.  Winning at the Manor - TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm only young so mine aren;t all that great!!

1. Fallon vs City. I've never celebrated another goal like that!
2. Oxford Unites 0-2 Swindon Town
3. Turning on the radio to find out Invincibile had scored THAT goal
4. The comeback against Sheffield Wednesday to win 3-2
5. Hardly a great moment, but I was really proud to be a Town fan at Ashton Gate when we went down. People singing their hearts out and clapping Iffy was awesome.
