Anyone been? Mrs get sa big tax rebate this month and is trying to get me to go in October? My concern is I am like a kid, I never sit still, dont do sunbathing but would be happy enough if there are lots of watersports.

Need some advice as it looks to me on the net that all you do is sunbathe which would drive me nuts

Surely you can go on safari and all that? We did when we went to Zimbabwe, went over the border into Assswana.

I had a mate at uni from Gambia. He was a nice chap. Didn't drink or agree with homosexuality, but loved his weed and white girls. I think his parents owned a hotel or something at the beach end of Gambia.

That's all I know on the subject.

You will probably need Hepatitis jabs, Typhoid and Polio.
I dont think AIDS is a rife there as in other parts of africa, but i dont expect you to go shagging the locals.

I would think it is pretty safe to be honest, and probably quite cheap compared to other parts.

If you do go, make sure you eat some Kudu, it is fucking lush.

Doctors will advise on immunisations as the requirements can change frequently.  We had to have yellow fever for Kenya which is likely to be the same.  You'll prob need hepatitus A too and Malaria tablets.  if you do need Malaria tablets, don't scrimp and get cheap ones as they have horrid side effects.  Get the expensive ones as you take them for less time and less frequently.  The tablets you choose can also depend on where you go and for how long.
